Cornwall comes top of the Mother's Day gift-list

IT'S OFFICIAL | The UK's most spoilt Mums live in Cornwall and some of them can expect a whopping £106 in gifts and treats this Mothering Sunday. 

Narrowing it down the Cornish town of Falmouth is Britain’s most generous, with doting offspring coughing up to fifteen times more in Mother’s Day cards and gifts than those celebrating in Northhallerton,Yorkshire, who'll be opening up presents worth a stingy £7.

The survey ranked counties by how much the kids spent on Mum and Cornwall dishing out £62.44, came out on top there too, though the South Glamorgan came a pretty close second spending £60.35 on Mother's Day.

Why spending on Mum varies so much across the UK is not clear from the survey, but does it matter how much you spend? On Mother’s Day it’s the thought that counts and you really don’t have to spend a lot money to show your Mum you care.
