Celebrate Father's Day with Kate

Did you know Father’s Day in the UK always falls on the third Sunday of the June?

This year in 2014 that’s on Sunday 15th.  Around the world this special celebration of fatherhood and the role fathers play in parenting children is marked in many countries by a day dedicated to Dad’s.  Many will celebrate on the third Sunday of June from Albania to Zimbabwe; including Canada, Cyprus, France, Greece, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, South Africa and the United States.   In Poland it is a set date every year falling on the 23rd of June. 

In Australia and New Zealand Father’s Day isn’t celebrated until the first Sunday of September falling on the 7th September 2014.  In Australia this day marks the first day of Spring.  In Norway and Sweden it’s the second Sunday in November and if you are a Bulgarian Dad then it’s on Boxing Day for you!
