Celebrate Father's Day with Kate

Did you know Father’s Day in the UK always falls on the third Sunday of the June?

This year in 2014 that’s on Sunday 15th.  Around the world this special celebration of fatherhood and the role fathers play in parenting children is marked in many countries by a day dedicated to Dad’s.  Many will celebrate on the third Sunday of June from Albania to Zimbabwe; including Canada, Cyprus, France, Greece, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, South Africa and the United States.   In Poland it is a set date every year falling on the 23rd of June. 

In Australia and New Zealand Father’s Day isn’t celebrated until the first Sunday of September falling on the 7th September 2014.  In Australia this day marks the first day of Spring.  In Norway and Sweden it’s the second Sunday in November and if you are a Bulgarian Dad then it’s on Boxing Day for you!  

Luckily, whichever nationality your Dad is and wherever you live or celebrate around the world you can count on Kate for a special card.  So whether it’s Vatertag, Fars dag or El Día del Padre where you are, let Kate help you say “Bonne Fête Papa!”.  At Love Kate’s greeting cards are available all year round (unlike the shops) and of course delivery is worldwide.

What about Mum? In the UK and Ireland Mother’s Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in lent so it was March 30th this year but next year in 2015 it is earlier on Sunday March 15th. In many countries though it is always the second Sunday in May, next year this will be May 10th 2015, this includes countries like Australia, USA, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand.
